Genome DIY

What Is It?

Enhance your Genome DIY presentation experience with touchscreen interactives from the Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code exhibition. Explore human genomic migration, the great scientific strides in understanding our genomes, and what areas of our lives are affected by genomic research. Your DIY visitors can have a supplementary dive into some genomic topics beyond the graphic exhibit panels.

How Does It Work?

The Genome DIY App allows users to interact with resources related to the free, print-on-demand exhibit that has been recreated from the traveling exhibition, Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code, by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History and National Institutes of Health’s National Human Genome Research Institute. Interactives include some of our most engaging timelines, What Do You Think? And In and Beyond Africa.

Why Is It Important To Me?

The convenience of the app platform provides a space for interactive consolidation. Learners can click between different educational resources and better understand how all of the themes of the exhibition are connected e.g. health, data science, natural world and ethical, legal and social implications.
